The building that houses New Preston Kitchen Goods was built around 1850. In 1952, Harold Stoeffler, Sr., converted the dwelling into the New Preston Pharmacy, which operated until 2002 (first by Harold Stoeffler, Sr., then by Harold Stoeffler, Jr.). New Preston Kitchen Goods proprietors Martin Rook and Richard Wallgren bought the building in 2002.
